and artist from the south of Nepal. Trained by her grandmother in the
artistic traditions of the region, she is a deeply religious woman whose
work illustrates the myths, legends and beliefs of Hinduism.

Didung Langdun is a young woman painter from Lhasa. Closely related to the family of the 13th Dalai Lama, she has trained in the traditional techniques of Tibetan art. Her work, however, is highly original and she has developed a personal style that while rooted in Tibetan tradition, is thoroughly modern in spirit and composition. |
